Yom Kippur

Yom Kippur - literally ‘Day of Atonement’ - is the most sacred date in the Jewish calendar. Orthodox Jews fast from sunset tonight, Wednesday 12 October, until nightfall tomorrow, Thursday 13 October 2005.
